***SPOILER ALERT***
Do not continue unless you are okay with spoilers because the following post will reveal a few of the events that happen in the film, particularly towards the end:
She wasn’t Bond. He retired and so she took the title of ‘007’. Like what would happen at any workplace when someone quits…
Like… it’s a different character… different name… different backstory…
They were colleagues throughout the film and worked together at the end, I don’t really understand how you could be mad about her being there. She even gave him back the title and everything!
She was good at her job, frankly better than Bond, seeing as she actually followed protocols that Bond repeatedly sidestepped.
Also, she was clearly seen as secondary (which makes sense, seeing as it is a James Bond film) seeing as how he got the hero’s ending and blew up the island whereas Nomi took Madeleine and Matilde to safety, so get over yourself or whatever.
I don't really know how many people actually had a problem with her, seeing as I haven't spoken to that many people that have seen the movie, however, there have been a few (sadly).
Honestly, I think it comes from a fundamental misunderstanding. Of what? I’m not sure. But it sounds about right. Don’t ask them about Birds of Prey (2020), they probably didn’t like that film either…
